ANIMAL CRUELTY

Image
Cruelty  to  animals  , also called  animal  abuse,  animal  neglect or  animal cruelty,  is the infliction by omission (neglect) or by commission by humans of suffering or harm upon any non-human.    In simple words, it is the abuse, harm or neglect intentionally towards an animal.  It is that simple.  Everyday countless cats, dogs and other animals suffer and die as a result of cruelty imposed by the very people who are expected to protect and care for them. Especially during Covid, many street animals were neglected thinking that they would infect the people. Some people even abandoned their pets thinking that they are harmful. Forget Covid , people throw their pets away( especially dogs) when they age. Let's have a look at few cases which we usually ignore or try to ignore. ⇨ SOME CASES  : ✱ Carcasses of nearly 90 stray dogs were found in Buldhana district of Maharashtra. The dogs were killed to check the stray p...

POPULATION GROWTH

Image
"Overpopulation in various countries has become a serious threat to the health of people and a grave obstacle to any attempt to organize peace on this planet."                                          - Albert Einstein The population is a term referring to a group of " species " living in the land area . So as the word says a group of "species", it means that both humans and animals live together and enjoy the resources equally. But are we even using them correctly or just reserving them for us and not sharing with others. The reason why humans are not sharing their resources with animals is that the ratio of humans to animals is more. Humans are increasing day-by-day which emanates that they need more area to live and explore by taking away the animal's land (forest). Moreover, increased human being growth is not only affecting the animal but it is also eminently affecting everythi...

TEACHER'S DAY SPECIAL

Image
" The true teachers are those who help us think for ourselves .-   Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan   Do you remember who was your very first teacher???? Before answering this question, let us know who is a teacher? Etymologically, a Teacher is a person who helps you to learn.  Now, coming back to the question i.e. your very first teacher. If we contemplate, we'll find that the first person(s) to teach us anything were our Parents . It was them who taught us how to eat, drink, sit, talk, walk, jump, run, play and everything that they could. Our parents are the ones who selflessly work round the clock for us, to provide us warmth, care and protection.  But what do they do??? We all know what our parents have done and still do for us. Have you ever seen a baby taking its first step? Just notice his/her parents. They are the most happiest when they see their child walking for the first time. It is them who teach everything from the start. They 'teach' us how ...

OPTIMISM is the key

Image
" Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement .  Nothing can be done without Hope and Confidence."  - Helen Keller OPTIMISM means Positive Attitude. It is the foundation of courage and true progression ; It is like a 'Happiness Magnet' . If you stay positive, 'good things' and 'good people' will be drawn to you. Whereas, negative attitude will always make you weaker because neither 'good things' will seem 'good' nor 'good people' will want to be with you.  Before grasping the advantages of Optimism, let's first perceive the disadvantages of Pessimism ( Negative Attitude). PESSIMISM  refers to the mental state of seeing the worst aspects of things. According to studies, pessimistic people are prone to get physical and mental problems and are susceptible to chronic pains and illnesses. ★ It can cause depression and other mental and emotional problems , like insomnia, anger etc. ★ It can lead people to neglect their h...

Importance of FEMALE EDUCATION

Image
Men and women are the two wheels of  the social cart.   For a  smooth & harmonious running of social and family life men and women both must be well-developed.  I t may be true that in majority of cases the girl doesn't become the bread-winner of the family but in this process of thought we are inclined to forget that - to give birth to the next generation and bring up this new generation is the basic and important task not only for the family but also for the society. Around the world, girls and women are treated as number two citizens, especially in India. All luxuries, comforts and even necessities must first be provided to boys and men and then,( if available) can be distributed to girls and women.  Let's divide this in two sections:                      ① Important  for  Family                             ...

Look at your LANGUAGE!!!!

Image
Language is a type of expression or in a defined way, it is the method of humans communication in a conversational way. It can be oral or written as the only thing that matters that it should convey your thoughts. But, are we using our language in a way we wanted to use or in a way people wanted us to use? In this "Vogue" world we all just focus on using foreign languages as we think that they make us "elegant" and "millennium". This need to being "millennium" has kept us away from our culture of speaking " HINDI" the mother tongue of India. Once Nelson Mandela had said that- " If you talk to man in a language he understands,  that goes to his head; If you talk to him in his language ,  that goes to his heart." Importance of mother tongue - Well, all this is a theoretical based concept on the importance of mother tongue. But my question is that  can you imagine a day without you speaking HINDI? The answer might be yes for mo...

Examination Results=Pressure

Image
" Success in life does not necessarily begin with academic success."                                                                    - Robert Sternberg Let me tell you, hardly anyone follows this quote.  One of the main barriers to true education in India is the exaggerated emphasis put on 'examination results'. It is almost like a worship of good "Marks". Like I remember, in class X, after attempting my question paper I used to first of all count my marks at least three times; when my results were coming out I used to pray to God every night before sleeping. There is no problem in praying to God but the problem is in the fear; I had the typical fear of getting extremely low marks or lower than my expectations. It was after my X that I realized, worshipping Exam results has expelled the true divine, Education, ...
