INDIA- Our Nation
INDIA - Independent Nation Declared In August
The 15th of August 1947 is a red-letter day in the history of India. On this day India achieved its independence after centuries of slavery. India became free after a long struggle and countless sacrifices.
Our Fundamental Rights -
It is important for us to know about our basic Rights that are provided to us by the Indian Constitution. So here they are as follows:
① Right to Equality - It includes equality before the law; prohibition of discrimination on the basis of Religion, Caste, Race, Gender or Place of birth; equality in matters of Employment; abolition of untouchability.
② Right to Freedom - It includes freedom of Speech & Expression; Assembly; Association or Union or Co-operatives; Movement; Residence; Right to practice any Profession or Occupation.
Also, read our blog on Freedom of Speech and Language - https://turtleback1.blogspot.com/2020/07/look%20at%20your%20%20Language.html
③ Right against Exploitation - It prohibits all forms of Forced Labour, Child labor and trafficking of human beings. Children under the age of 14 are not allowed to work.
④ Right to Freedom of Religion - It includes freedom of conscience and free profession, practice and propagation of Religion; freedom to manage religious affairs.
⑤ Cultural and Educational Rights - It preserves the right of any section of citizens to conserve their culture, language, or script; the right of Minorities to establish educational institutions of their choice.
⑥ Right to Constitutional Remedies - It is present for the enforcement of the Fundamental Rights.
Our Individual Duties -
⭐ People should realize that it their duty to defend freedom.
⭐ They should not only work for the progress and unity of the country but also fight the evils of disintegration and disruption.
⭐ Colour, Creed, and Caste should not impede the progress of the country.
⭐ We should pledge to preserve our hard-won freedom every year on this auspicious day.
⭐ We should not let religion divide our country. Religion is not bigger than humanity and harmony.
Some Environment-related suggestions -
Celebrating Independence Day is a huge festival that is carried out by the school children, adults and almost everyone. People love to show their love and patriotism towards their nation on Independence and Republic day (only on "particularly these days").
As hosting the flag is done at every corner in the country, children carry flags, paint themselves, and so on as ritual of the day. But are these rituals really environment friendly and do they help us in any possible way?????๐ค๐ค
Therefore, here are some way through which you can celebrate your day by not providing any harm to the environment:-๐
⭐ Instead of using flags that are made of Plastic, we can switch to Cloth flags.
Cloth Flags are reusable and protect the Environment. Cloth Flags are hand-made so this will provide employment to the tailors and laborers in the cloth industry. Whereas, using a plastic flag is harmful to the environment and also they are produced by the machine.
⭐Avoid carrying an Individual flag and prefer having a combined flag just for your way to show "Patriotism"
Carrying an individual flag is a self-proclaimed gesture to show "Patriotism". People carry the flag for that DAY and on the next day, it is left lying on the floor or lying in the corner of roads and are neglected as if it doesn't matter to them. This is the biggest disrespect that one can show towards their nation.
⭐ Take out 15 minutes from your busy life and just sing the National Anthem of your country.
⭐ Feed the animals near you.
⭐ Help the needy person.
⭐Donate anything that could help others.
