IN D IA - Independent Nation Declared In August The 15th of August 1947 is a red-letter day in the history of India. On this day India achieved its independence after centuries of slavery. India became free after a long struggle and countless sacrifices. Our Fundamental Rights - It is important for us to know about our basic Rights that are provided to us by the Indian Constitution. So here they are as follows: ① Right to Equality - It includes equality before the law; prohibition of discrimination on the basis of Religion, Caste, Race, Gender or Place of birth; equality in matters of Employment; abolition of untouchability. ② Right to Freedom - It includes freedom of Speech & Expression ; Assembly; Association or Union or Co-operatives; Movement; Residence; Right to practice any Profession or Occupation.
