EVERY DROP COUNTS

Water is the most essential element of life on Earth. It's conservation is the only way to save it and solve the problem of water scarcity. In India and other countries of the world, there is a major shortage of water. Conserving water doesn't mean that you have to change your entire lifestyle. By being mindful of what you do in and around the house, you can save both water and money.

So, here are some of the methods that I personally follow to conserve water and use it cautiously and effectively. Let's have a look↙  -

💧 Toilet is the biggest water user in the house. Check the pipes and taps for leakage. 

   🖛Fact- In your household, 40% of the pure water is flushed down the toilet.

💧 Instead of using a shower🚿, use bucket for bathing. It helps to save unnecessary flow of water.

💧 Once I tried to observe our house-help washing utensils. She was applying dish-washing soap on the dishes while   the water was running continuously for no reason. So, I closed the tap and asked her not to keep the water running when not in use.

💧 SAVE PAPER - Yes, minimal use and minimal wastage of paper is a must. I read in a study that huge amount of water is consumed in the making process of paper, which can lead to reduced water levels.

💧 If you are a person who washes clothes everyday in the washing machine, then just drop it. now don't tell me that you don't wash your clothes so why do you care😒. Whoever washes your clothes, tell that person not to wash it everyday. Instead, wash only full loads of laundry. 

💧 Defrost frozen food in the refrigerator or microwave rather than keeping it under.

💧 Serve water to your guests in medium-sized glasses so that water is not left and     wasted. I know it sounds rude but still.

💧 So, what I do is if in any case there is unused or leftover water then don't throw it away. Keep it for watering the plants. 

💧 Avoid purchasing toys that require water to play. I mean are they more important than your life?? No, Right!!

💧 If you find a tap or pipe leaking in a place like mall, shopping center or park, then Report about it. So that they can be    repaired.

💧 And let me tell you there is nothing called as stale water ( baasi pani). 

   OK, so once my grandmother asked me throw the water of her half-filled bottle saying that the water is stale because it is kept there since night. I got very irritated and since then she hears from me on this whenever she says something about that. Water is life. Please treat it like one. Don't throw it away for no logic reason.

💧 The most important thing is- don't hesitate to point out someone whom you see wasting water or any other  natural resource.

   There is nothing wrong in being rude to those people who don't want to save water even after being pointed out.

SAVE WATER not because you have to but because you need to.
